Navigation Activities
Navigation starts with the team being taught basic grid reference procedure.
Teams a group or individuals can take part in these activities.
A sample of our activities :-
Orienteering
After the group have been given basic map reading instruction, either groups, teams or individuals are set off at intervals with a Grid Reference.
Attached to each bike is a card with numbered boxes printed on it.
At each Grid Reference an ‘Orienteering Punch’ is attached to a post, the card must be clipped in the first bow with the punch. On the post is the Grid reference of the next punch, the game continues until all the punches have been visited and the card is full.
The first correct returned card, punches clipped in the correct order, wins the day.
